Shirley is back to the KITCHEN - Presented MIHUN LALA!

Cooking is a form of art. Do you agree with this? Back then, I was the one who consumed food and became the food eater. However, in a recent time, things changed! Mum gave her faith to me by asking me to cook dinner for my family.

Mum: Lai, tonight you would cook dinner. Cook Mi Hun Lala la..First, prepare the .......
*explaining on how to cook the mi hun*
Shirley: Okie! How come you asked me to cook de le??
Mum: Big gal d ma..Must learn de ma.
Shirley: Oh okie lo..if you trust me.
Mum: Okie! But don't cook using your feelings ya.
Shirley: *???*

I admit that I love to cook via feelings. I don't pay attention on the amount of like how many spoons of this and that. Rather, I choose to put them depends on my liking and my feel! *That makes sense*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cooking for an individual would be darn easy but not to cook to feed 6 tummy in the family. First of all, it is important to get all the ingredients prepared before light up the stove. And first thing first, I thought of garlic. Get a few garlic and smash them!
Since the name of the dish is called "MiHun Lala", hence, the main role of the day is actually the mi hun!.Get it softened by soaking it in a bowl of water. I remembered asking my mum on why are we suppose to soften the mihun? Can't we try by not soaking them first?? And guess what!!! Mum gave her blank stare*
Once the mihun is pretty soft, next thing up would be getting all the spices together so that you would not miss anything out while you are half way cooking. So, ya - below are the ingredients for MIHUN LALA!
Can you see them??...Another picture of it!
Should be clearer right, I guess??..Anyway, the sauces that I used were pretty simple. They are no other than the oyster sauce and dark soy sauce.
And the highlight of the dish is the LALA! Thinking about it, baby lala is used rather than the big one. This seems to be the norm for most of the restaurant, I guess. Juicy, succulent and abundant!
Once all the ingredients are prepared, then, "woman best friend" has to be there too, especially when we approach the kitchen. *Ta - da*
Once the stove is pretty heated, then put in the mashed garlic. Cook till its brown and fragrant smell appeared.
Then, put in the mihun and start to make your own business with it by mixing them fairly.
After that, spices and sauces can put to the Mihun! Use the special gift by God that is tongue and heart to measure how much you need to put them to provide the satisfying feelings. You would never go wrong with this, then.

Once the MiHun is well mixed, then, you can just put the bean sprouts and the lala. Mix them evenly and it is ready for you to try them out! Isn't it easy??

Try them out! You can add other ingredients that you like! Well, this is the first time for Shirley to cook a proper, light dinner to her family. You can try this out ya! Shirley is back to the kitchen 00! ^^

Have a great day ahead and smile always!
Love, Shirley
